yes, i'm alive.the reason why i haven't been posting is because i killed my computer. i was sitting on my bed with my computer on my lap drinking some soda, and somehow, the soda ended up all over the computer. and i tried to clean it up with water. that was a no-no.
so all of my photos are gone for the time being. i don't have photoshop either, so i can't edit. i'm getting a new computer for christmas (which is going to erase all of the other presents that i wanted) and i'll be able to start back up again.
another problem i have been facing is film. oh lordy. i have been fascinated with analog photgraphy lately. however, analog has made me appreciate what my slr can do. one thing that i can't stand it getting my film developed. i would LOVE LOVE LOVE to develop my film myself. unfortunatly, i don't have a darkroom available for my use. so i've been taking my film to stores that develop film. my first attempt was at wallgreens at which the employee did not inform me of the fact that they did not develop black and white film. so my film came out blank. my second attempt was at rite aid, and i faced the same problem. for my third attempt, i actually seeked recomendations on where to submit my film, and they said to take it to the local photo store. sure enough they developed black and white film, which was not surprising. they ask for special requests: contact sheet, prints, and negatives. i asked for all, and after a week of utter excitment, i only get a contact sheet and negatives. what am i supposed to do with a contact sheet and negatives?
anyway, that's my story.
